Pick the Soundux release asset that matches your OS. The current release tag ships the Windows setup exe this guide prefers, a Windows portable exe, and Linux .deb, Flatpak, rpm, and tar.gz packages—no macOS binary on that tag.

Where releases live

Official builds publish on Soundux/Soundux releases. Prefer that list over mirrors that rename the setup for a soundboard ranking. Homepage context: soundux.rocks.

Each release row lists asset filenames. Confirm soundux- prefix, version digits, and the OS suffix before you download. A review portal that only says “download soundboard” without those names is the wrong door for a careful desk.

Bookmark the Releases URL beside the machine ticket. When a teammate pastes a Drive link titled only with the head keyword, replace it with the GitHub tag link so everyone shares the same checksum conversation later.

Windows assets on the current release tag

Primary: soundux-the current release-windows-setup.exe. Alternate: soundux-the current release-windows-portable.exe. The setup path is the job lock for this soundboard guide because upstream README states the installer ships VB-CABLE and WebView2 Runtime helpers that portable-only doors may assume you already have.

If a blog promises a Mac soundboard build “from the same GitHub,” verify the asset list yourself. Filename fiction is still fiction when the tag only shows Windows and Linux rows.

How to read a soundboard tag

Match version digits across the filename and the tag heading. Prefer assets from Soundux/Soundux, not forks with similar names. If a newer tag omits Windows setup, stay on a tag that still lists it until you confirm the rewrite ships replacements.

Major rewrite tracking lives in upstream issue discussions; this guide still maps the current release because that tag carries the Windows and Linux files readers need today for a working soundboard desk.

Safe download habits
